Adler Drive-In

The necessary permits to proceed

with the construction of the new

outdoor theater south of the city

have been received and work will

begin Monday, it was announced to-

day by J.P. Adler, president of the

Adler Theater Co. Inc.

The Eau Claire Nursery Co. will

undertake the first portion of the

job, that of grading the site. The

construction of the screen and the

wiring of the premises, plus the

construction of the projection house

and concession stand is expected

to take about six to eight weeks.

With a break from the weather-

man, Adler said he hoped to have

the new theater operating by the

second week of September.

A 37 by 50 screen, elevated some

50 feet in the air, will face north-

east. The entrance will be on high-

way 10, about 1200 feet east of the

intersection with highway 13. The

exit will be 800 feet north of the in-

tersection on highway 13. There

will be facilities for 425 cars.
