Great River Outdoor Theater

Prairie du Chien

 

The Great River Outdoor Theater operated from 1982 to 1985 in Prairie du Chien. The screen and most of the other equipment was purchased from the Shara Outdoor in Wautoma after it closed. The screen was 66 feet wide by 32 feet high. FM broadcast was used for sound. The screen stood until 1989 when strong winds took it down. The theater is now completely gone.
