North Star

La Crosse (North)

La Crosse was once home to two drive-in theaters. The first of the two is the North Star Outdoor. The North Star was on Hwy 16 near the interstate. The theater was visible from I-94. This was the last of the two theaters to close. The area where the theater was located is now shopping centers and restaurants.

Starlite

La Crosse (South)

The second of the two, the Starlite, was located on State Road (Hwy 33) just east of town. This theater was the first to close. There is a Drive-in road where the theater used to be, and in the general area of the former theater is the Starlite apartments (imagine that!)
